Creation of a PitNET sample bank at the La Trinidad Teaching Medical Center period 2022-2023

Biobanks are essential for research and studies of tumors. Protocols for collection, storage, identification, and transport of samples ensure tissue quality to guarantee the performance of complementary studies that promote new strategies, to understand the processes of origin of tumors. Currently, there are sample banks worldwide that are not specific, this project is based on analyzing the feasibility of creating a pituitary tumor bank, as well as designing a protocol for its management and conservation. Enhancing also the reception, the instructions for the staff members including the quality of the handling of the sample.
