Rafael González Rincones (1885-1958), Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Central de Venezuela (1906), Professor of Human Anatomy (1913-1916). Delegate, Senator and Minister of Public Instruction in two opportunities (1917-1922), (1931-1936). Member of the National Academy of Medicine, Chair XXI (1915). Member of the National Academy of Physical, Mathematical and Natural Sciences and honorary member of the Academies of Medicine of Madrid, Lima and Santiago de Chile. His scientific work consisted mainly of contributions to the field of Entomology. The succession of Dr. Rafael Gonzalez Rincones made possible the physical beginning of the project Centro Medico Docente la Trinidad, whose hospitalization tower bears his name.
