Use of prostheses in pharyngocutaneous fistula.

The objective is to present a clinical case of a postlaryngectomy patient who presented a pharycutaneous fistula and who required the use of a prothesis. CLINICAL CASE: 62 years old male with glottic larynx squamous cell carcinoma reported in biopsy, for which radiotherapy was suggested, in the follow up it shows subglottic lesion a biopsy was performed reporting squamous cell carcinoma and a total laryngectomy was proposed. In tenth day postoperative patient present a fistula from hypophanrynx to the skin and hypopharyng to the trachea and a lams prosthesis was place. The early implementation of prostheses and early rehabilitation should be considered as a necessary procedure that could help direct to fistulous trajectories in order to propose less invasive reconstructive methods.
