Gliomas are brain tumors that are classified according to their malignancy. The classification of a glioma depends on histology, molecular and genetic characteristics, associated with the prognosis. It is intended to review the usefulness of methods such as magnetic resonance spectroscopy for the differentiation of low- and high-grade gliomas as a non-invasive method to predict their behavior and thus patient survival. Articles published in English and Spanish in the last 5 years in databases such as pubmed and embase are reviewed, eliminating articles whose title, abstract or content did not meet the inclusion criteria, resulting in a total of 35 final articles.
