Gliomas are brain tumors that are classified into grades according to their malignancy. These degrees depend not only on histology but also on certain molecular and genetic characteristics that correlate with different prognoses to which they have been associated. The following review aims to understand the usefulness of methods such as magnetic resonance spectroscopy for the differentiation of low- and high-grade gliomas as a non-invasive method to predict the behavior of the tumor and thus the survival of the patient.
