Abstract

The objective of this work was to compare and analyze the efficacy of alternative therapies in chondromalacia patellae (therapy with platelet-rich plasma, endoret, and hyaluronic acid) and determine if we will have an optimal treatment for this pathology and its impact on quality of life. from the patients. Materials and methods: Quasi-experimental study, prospective, non-contemporary, longitudinal. Carried out at the La Trinidad Teaching Medical Center. from April 2022 to October 2022. Results: After the placement of the alternative therapy in the hyaline cartilage of the knee of the patients, it was evidenced that, to those who were administered Endored® (plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF) ) + hyaluronic acid, obtained an average of 84.49% on the KOOS scale, with a standard deviation of plus or minus 10.43%, while patients who received platelet-rich plasma (PRP) + hyaluronic acid obtained an average of 86 .02% on the KOOS scale with a standard deviation of plus or minus 9.06. Conclusion: in both groups there was no 100% improvement in quality of life in all the patients in the sample, according to the results on the scale KOOS.
